Shopping is a religion at Rodney Burns` and David Mulvaney`s emporium of eclectic eccentric furnishings, art and fashion from far-flung tk. They served vino and chocolate fondue to rabid LeSuperbe shoppers, the L.A. brand designed by this town`s fashion fixture Jeannine Braden. Holiday, the brand`s most coveted season, is famed for its chunky faux furs and sequin bodycon slinks. Among the high profile guests: Bananarama /Shakespeare`s sister singer Siobhan Fahey, the GoGo`s Charlotte Caffey, Michelle Laurita and Thomas Drotar. If there’s one thing more unique, joyous, iconoclastic and excellently eccentric than the adorable Brooklyn design duo Tanner Fletcher - Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell - is their buoyantly flamboyant - and rabid - crowd of (mostly young) fans and followers who practically vogued their way down west 26th St. on the way to their spring/summer show. Were they getting stopped to pose for their one-of-a-kind mash-up outfits - or were they fashion editors, layered up, posing as downtown boho`s? "I like to look at the collection and have it look like somebody`s closet,” Kasell explained as he and Richie greeted the TF faithful as they entered the multi room tableau theater, where actual models acted out the clothes. "There`s everyday stuff that`s easy to wear, but at the same time it`s fashion." Nothing every day about this cabal.

Jonathan Cohen`s spring/summer is a real mishmash - in the best of all ways. Like famed fabric/print mixer-uppers before him (Betsey Johnson, Dries van Noten). One pink and blue tie dye sweater paired with a black and white print skirt says it all. Shapes are mishmashed too: strapless peplum mini dresses over loose pants, a red floral dress over a different hue-d midi skirt, over pants. All this layering might sound like a pile up, but it actually works - in a similar way to Marc Jacobs`s famed grunge collection. Call it "wunge" - whimisical grunge.

Bach Mai`s spring/summer show should be the one that affixes him to the red carpet - he`s had a number of big hits since tk, not the least of them, Amal Clooney at this year`s Venice Film Fest. It was certainly red - most of it - and dramatic. It`s such a strong statement of shapes, it`s hard to know if Hollywood hotties will gravitate. Will ball gowns be back? Time will tell.
